Escape the Fate
Photos & Interview by Leonard Beck
MODE Detroit followed Rockstars Energy Drink UPROAR Festival to Klipsch Music Center in Noblesville Indiana to cover it for a second time ! This is the third time we have had the pleasure to photograph Escape the Fate. They always come out full of energy and really fire up the crowd into a frenzy. ETF puts on a memorable show which you really need to experience when they come through your area next.
Escape the Fate‘s fourth album “Ungrateful” has a lot of great tracks on it that you will keep on your playlist.
Interview with Craig Mabbitt vocalist of Escape The Fate
Whats your favorite moment of Uproar festival so far?
Best Crowd so far is Cincinatti For sure hands down. They were really into it. Had a huge circle pit going around the sound booth. They were feeling it. You can say that was my favorite moment.
What the Future plans for the band?
Right after this (UPROAR) we hit the UK. After the UK were celebrating the holiday season then we’re going into the studio to start on a new record. Then we hit Australia. And that’s up till march. Sure there will be more things booked from here till then.
Did the band members change effect the writing in any way?
Oh yeah, of course. Obviously when you change guitarist your song writing will be different. But its different in a very, very good way. I’m really excited for the new album.
Is there any songs you would like to cover in the future?
Yeah! We have had our talks. I would like to do a whole cover album. Just like all our favorite we play on the juke box every time we go to a $hitty old dive bar. Like to do a cover album with all those songs. So maybe we will do it one day when we have the time. Is there any bands which stick out you would like to cover? Defiantly some Def Leppard, journey, Aerosmith, and Bon Jovi. There is a lot of $hit. Lots of classics songs. The dive bar soundtrack! I call it my waffle house sound track since I play the same songs when I go to the waffle house.
I hear you have a Clothing line?
It’s called “Lollypops and Cigarettes” which is being sold at our merch tent right now. Which is pretty fun. It was started in late 2010. Went on a little hiatus by 2012, 2013. I’m happy to finally have the ball rolling again finally. It’s funny the last tour we had it out for sale was the last Uproar tour we were on. It’s cool how it came full the years we have been playing.
Waffle house soundtrack anyone?! I’m sure ETF’s fans would love to see this get made.
