It’s starting to feel like the holiday season. Cadillac Square Markets & Cadillac Lodge are open. The 20th Annual Detroit Tree Lighting is Friday November 17th starting at 4pm till 9pm. The event is presented to you by Downtown Detroit Partnership and DTE Energy Foundation.

This family-friendly event has all types of activities like professional ice skating display, public ice skating (after the presentation), musical guests, lighting attractions, visit from Santa, hot chocolate, holiday shopping, carriage rides, food trucks, performance artist, and of course the amazing tree lighting ceremony itself. The marketplace in Cadillac square are local Detroit shop venders. One really interesting shop was Bags to Butterfies, the fashionable handbags are built by formerly incarcerated women transitioning to employment.
